Summary

Virtua Fighter 3 is the third entry in the Virtua Fighter fighting game series. The game introduced two new Japanese fighters: Aoi Umenokoji, a graceful Japanese woman and childhood friend of Akira Yuki, who specialized in a quick and fluid style of Aiki-jujutsu, and Taka-Arashi, a Sumo wrestler from Japan. Taka-Arashi would not return to the Virtua Fighter series until Virtua Fighter 5 R. According to the series' current producer, Hiroshi Kataoka, Taka was omitted from later games due to the technical challenges of incorporating a significantly larger character into the gameplay.
