Summary
Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures is an episodic graphic adventure featuring the beloved characters Wallace and Gromit, brought to life by Nick Park and Aardman Animations. The game was developed and published by Telltale Games. It initially launched for Microsoft Windows, with the first episode hitting on March 23, 2009, followed by the second on May 5, 2009, the third on June 15, 2009, and the fourth on July 30, 2009. Later, it was made available for Xbox 360, with the first episode arriving on May 27, 2009. The second episode was initially set for September 8, 2009, but the release was quickly pulled; instead, the remaining three episodes were all launched together on the platform on November 4, 2009.
Telltale Games worked alongside Aardman Animations to craft the narrative, characters, and world of the game. Players take control of both Wallace and Gromit during the gameplay. Ben Whitehead, Aardman's official voice actor for Wallace, provided the character's voice in the game, replacing Peter Sallis, who had voiced the character in all previous on-screen appearances. A playable demo of the first episode was released on March 16, 2009, and is available for download from the official website and Yahoo Games. It was also included as DVD-ROM content on the Region 2 DVD and Blu-ray versions of A Matter of Loaf and Death. On January 14, 2014, Telltale Games took the game off sale due to the expiration of their rights to the Wallace & Gromit intellectual property; however, those who had already bought the game can still access the episodes through their game library.
