Summary
Wheel of Fortune is based on the popular television game show of the same name. The game includes 4,500 unique word puzzles for players to solve, with Vanna White turning the tiles on the board as part of the gameplay.
The game is played by three contestants, who can be controlled by either human players or the computer. Players can choose from six different contestant avatars to represent them during the game. Just like on the show, players have the option to spin the wheel, purchase a vowel, or attempt to solve the puzzle. The game is divided into three rounds of word challenges, with the objective of earning the most money by the end of the rounds to qualify for the bonus round and compete for one of the grand prizes.
Both versions of the game have slight graphical differences. Additional variations include the Genesis version, which offers an options menu where players can adjust the difficulty of the computer opponents, set the speed of the timer, test the game's sound effects, and choose the control settings for players two and three. The Super Nintendo version allows players to switch puzzle categories if they're not satisfied with the current one.
This is the 16-bit edition of Wheel of Fortune: Featuring Vanna White, which includes more puzzles, digitized photos from the actual game show set, and digitized voice clips of Vanna White.
