Wipeout Fusion

Summary

WipEout Fusion is a high-speed futuristic racing game with action-packed gameplay. Compete in the F9000 Anti-Gravity Race League, piloting hovercrafts and utilizing weapons to outmaneuver and defeat rivals. Similar to WipEout 3, the game offers single-race and league formats, along with two-player split-screen action. The single-race mode, known as Arcade, allows players to unlock new circuits. The Challenge mode from WipEout 64 makes a return with added improvements: each team features six unique challenges that must be completed with a medal to progress to the next. A new Zone mode tasks players with completing as many laps as possible on a track while the speed keeps increasing. WipEout Fusion introduces hovercraft upgrades as another new element. Based on performance, players earn credits after each race, which can be spent to boost speed, thrust, weapon power, shield durability, lateral stability, and braking strength. Upgraded vehicles can be used in all game modes except Challenge mode.
