Summary
World Series Baseball 2K2 includes the full 2002 player roster and offers a variety of gameplay options. Gamers can choose to play a regular exhibition match, build and manage a franchise, jump straight into the playoffs, participate in a home run contest, or connect with others online. The game introduces several new features not found in earlier versions. Players have full control over fielding positions and batting lineups. It's now possible to create, sign, and trade free agents. The game also lets players manage batting and pitching rotations. Custom batting orders can be set, and control over each player on the field is available. Numerous statistics are tracked, such as player hot and cold zones, draft picks, injuries, trades, and fines. The game was also made available on Xbox under the name "World Series Baseball."
