Worms: Open Warfare

Summary
Worms: Open Warfare is a turn-based artillery strategy game. It was developed by Team17 and published by THQ for the PlayStation Portable and Nintendo DS. The Worms series includes many other titles, and this game marked Team17's return to its classic 2D style. It was followed by a sequel, Worms: Open Warfare 2, which is also available on the Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable. In Worms: Open Warfare, players command a squad of worms. The objective is to eliminate the enemy team by reducing their worms' health using a wide range of weapons, while avoiding friendly fire and other hazards. Available weapons and tools include grenades, homing missiles, bazookas, cluster bombs, banana bombs (a signature Worms weapon), dynamite, air strikes, shotguns, and more. Players can also select from various environments and create custom teams and strategies. The game is played in rounds, with each worm beginning with 100 health points. Teams take turns controlling one of their worms, with each turn typically lasting 60 seconds, although this can be adjusted in non-career modes. Only one attack is allowed per turn. Each round also has a 20-minute time limit. If the clock reaches 0:00 before a team wins, all worms' health is reduced to 1, triggering a sudden death situation. Throughout the round, crates containing health or weapons may appear, and the water level on the battlefield can gradually rise.
