Summary

In WWF No Mercy, players can battle for seven distinct WWF titles, each with its own unique storyline. These stories can be replayed, letting players defend their championship in the same narrative. After finishing a story mode successfully, players gain access to the corresponding title in Exhibition mode, where they can pursue and protect it however they choose. Up to four players can take part in a variety of game modes, such as caged and ladder matches, as well as pay-per-view events. Players also have the option to design their own event and go for titles earned in Championship mode. Some matches take place outside the ring, across four different backstage settings.
