Summary
Launched in 1995, X-Men 2: Clone Wars is a platform title developed by Headgames and released in North America by Sega of America for the Mega Drive/Genesis. As a follow-up to the 1993 X-Men game, it draws inspiration from the iconic Marvel Comics superhero group, the X-Men. This is the second X-Men title from Sega for the Genesis. In this entry, the X-Men must stand against the Phalanx, an alien force seeking to conquer Earth, making them humanity’s final hope in the face of this looming danger. The game plays similarly to its side-scrolling predecessor, with a broader selection of playable characters now available, such as Beast, Gambit, Nightcrawler, Psylocke, Wolverine, Cyclops, and Magneto.
