Summary

In the 21st century, advanced computer systems were developed, but humanity could not keep them under control. Toward the end of the century, one of these systems, the Orion weapons network, unleashed a catastrophic nuclear war, nearly wiping out the human race due to the deadly fallout. The few survivors took refuge and entered cryogenic stasis. Awakening a century later, they emerge into a surface transformed—a world both new and unfamiliar.
