Summary

1999. What first seemed to be an innocent meteorite striking the Nevada desert was actually Darc Seed, a malevolent alien entity with terrifying abilities. By firing mysterious magnetic beams, Darc Seed transformed the defenseless country into a horde of zombies and reanimated the Statue of Liberty to carry out his sinister orders. These beams also granted him control over numerous deadly weapons, though none were as formidable as the fabled samurai sword, Shura. Upon learning that the sword had been seized by evil, the legendary warrior leader, Namakubi, immediately embarked on a journey to the United States. Only he had the power and wisdom necessary to reclaim the mystical blade and liberate the U.S. from Darc Seed's dark grip.

Storyline

In Zombie Nation, the story is set in 1999 when a mysterious meteor, called "Darc Seed" (or "Eva" in the Japanese version), crashes into the Nevada desert. Darc Seed/Eva emits powerful magnetic rays that transform the citizens of the United States into zombies. It also awakens the Statue of Liberty, bringing it to life to serve its will. These same magnetic rays enable Darc Seed/Eva to command a variety of deadly weapons, including the ultimate weapon—the fabled samurai sword Shura. Learning that Shura has fallen into Darc Seed's hands, the leader of the samurai, Namakubi, journeys to the United States to eliminate Darc Seed, rescue the American people from the threat of becoming zombies, and recover the legendary sword Shura.
