Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere is a flight combat simulation video game created and released by Namco for the PlayStation. As the third entry in the Ace Combat series, it launched in Japan in 1999. In the game, players pilot a fighter jet and carry out a range of mission goals, including eliminating enemy squadrons or defending a base from attack. Electrosphere introduces a more futuristic, sci-fi setting compared to the contemporary themes seen in earlier titles. The Japanese edition of Ace Combat 3 is notably different from the international version: its storyline includes 52 missions across multiple branching paths based on choices made during missions. The plot revolves around the "Intercorporate War" of 2040 between Neucom Incorporated and the General Group.
