A few years ago, a coalition of forces under U.S. leadership intervened in the Ostregal Islands at the behest of the RDO Government, which had been attacked by the nation of Czervenia. U.S. troops carried out security and reconnaissance missions to safeguard RDO interests from Czervenian advances and local Red Coin extremist groups. U.S. Army units launched an operation against a hidden Czervenian stronghold, codenamed "Ranch," located on the Ostregal mainland, halting Czervenia's ability to launch surface-to-air attacks on Coalition aircraft and enabling humanitarian aid to reach thousands of displaced civilians. A Long Range Reconnaissance team executed a surveillance mission to assess Czervenian troop levels at a potential staging ground on the island of Palisav, gathering critical photographic intelligence on a serious and likely catastrophic threat, the specifics of which remain classified. Following the arrival of U.S. and Coalition forces, the Czervenian Army was pushed off the Ostregal mainland, retreating hastily via the CZ Transocean Highway, crossing the Silent Harbor Bridge, and fleeing into Palisav Island. The bridge quickly became a key flashpoint for continued fighting between Czervenian forces and their Red Coin terrorist allies.
