Bases Loaded 3 is the third installment in the Bases Loaded series developed by Jaleco for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It hit Japanese shelves in 1990 and was released in North America the following year, 1991, and was available exclusively on the NES. Unlike its predecessors, this game eliminated seasonal play, concentrating instead on single exhibition matches. The title gained attention for featuring Ryne Sandberg, the renowned baseball star, as an endorser.
Bases Loaded 3, like the two earlier entries in the series, featured a variety of fictional teams and athletes, none of whom were real. The main goal of the game was to achieve a "perfect game," shifting focus from winning the pennant, which had been the central aim in the prior games of the series.
