Bases Loaded II: Second Season was introduced by Jaleco in 1988 as the sequel to the Bases Loaded series. It was exclusively available for the Nintendo Entertainment System and picked up where the original Bases Loaded left off, continuing its legacy as a popular baseball title for the NES.
Bases Loaded II carried over the season mode known as "Pennant Race," enabling players to monitor statistics and scores throughout an entire season. The fictional teams from the original game were retained, now featuring several new players. A fresh element introduced was the biorhythm system, which prompted players to track each team member's biorhythm to maximize performance during the season. Additionally, players had full control over selecting the starting lineup and batting order, and the perspective of the batter was altered from the first installment.
