Summary

Batman: Arkham City — Armored Edition includes all the content from Batman: Arkham City, along with every downloadable addition, and introduces Battle Armored Tech (B.A.T.) Mode and new Armored Suits for both Batman and Catwoman. Players can experience the role of the Dark Knight in a more powerful way with an enhanced battle suit that grants an extra power-up by enabling the accumulation of kinetic energy during combat. When triggered, B.A.T. Mode lets players unleash more damage than ever before. The Wii U GamePad offers direct access to the wrist-mounted Batcomputer throughout the game, letting players use the touch screen to effortlessly choose objectives, pick their tools, analyze forensic evidence, upgrade equipment, set off explosive gel, and more, all while staying fully engaged in the action. Every gadget has been redesigned to take advantage of the GamePad’s capabilities, delivering a new level of precision when using the Batarang and searching for clues.

Storyline

Eighteen months after the tumultuous events of *Batman: Arkham Asylum*, both the Elizabeth Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane and Blackgate Prison remain in ruins. The former has been overrun in a massive inmate-led breakout spearheaded by the Joker, while the latter was devastated by a mysterious fire, which the Joker suggests he orchestrated as part of his schemes in Arkham Asylum. The asylum's administrator, mayoral hopeful Quincy Sharp, quickly capitalizes on Batman's victory over the Joker at Arkham, taking credit for restoring order and implying that Batman was acting under his direction. This move is partly an effort to repair his damaged reputation, which had been severely tarnished by the worst riot in the asylum's history occurring at a critical moment in Sharp's campaign for Gotham City's mayoral office.
