Summary

In the year 2001, a deadly virus wipes out 99.99% of the world's female population. Nations clash over quarantine zones, escalating into nuclear conflict that devastates global civilization. What few women remain are captured and controlled by gangs that have seized power in scattered regions. The protagonist, Griffin Spade, loses his fiancée, Madison, when she is taken from Queens, New York, by the U.S. government. Torn from her and witnessing the destruction of New York City, Griffin seizes a tank and embarks on a journey across the United States to find her, facing down rival gangs along the way. After escaping the wreckage of New York, Griffin travels west, gathering allies in the rural areas, Chicago, Las Vegas, and San Francisco.
