In 1960, a plane crashes into the heart of the Atlantic Ocean, leaving a lone survivor named Jack. By what seems like sheer fortune, he washes up in front of a door leading to an underwater facility. Without a moment's hesitation, Jack steps inside and is met with slogans extolling the virtues of Rapture, a utopia of unfettered freedom constructed in the 1940s by the visionary entrepreneur Andrew Ryan. But before he can fully grasp the significance of his discovery, the illusion of paradise shatters, revealing only decay and disorder. Now, uncovering the fate of Rapture becomes Jack's driving purpose as he battles the terrifying consequences of unrestrained freedom.
