This is the SoundLink edition of BS F-Zero Grand Prix 2, the direct follow-up to the original F-Zero game that launched on the Super Famicom through the Satellaview service. Two versions were released: a standard non-SoundLink version and one with SoundLink support. Not much is known about the SoundLink version beyond what's visible in surviving recordings, but it was delivered in two parts in August 1997 and featured a familiar announcer and a remixed soundtrack similar to the prior Satellaview title. At least in the first week, a few tracks were rearranged, and two new circuits named "Forest I" and "Forest II" were introduced. Assuming no tracks were repeated, this suggests the SoundLink version likely offered double the number of courses overall. Additionally, it's clear that in the SoundLink version, players couldn't select between Grand Prix and Practice modes; due to the live broadcast format, players were required to first complete each track in a timed Practice session before moving on to the Grand Prix race.
