Summary
A fantastic futuristic RPG from Strategic Simulations. Led by the legendary Buck Rogers, your team is now called to a mission of rescue. This journey will take your squad to the farthest edges of known space and beyond. To protect Earth, you'll encounter numerous threats, battle endless foes, and navigate the skepticism of enigmatic alien societies. Assistance may arrive from unanticipated sources and in surprising ways, but always rely on your own strength. In the end, only clever thinking will ensure your survival through this dangerous quest.
Storyline
The player's group is summoned to witness the coronation of a new Sun King on Mercury. They also reunite with Dr. Romney, who reveals he has uncovered a method to generate an extraordinary form of free energy, one capable of restoring Earth and challenging the dominance of RAM (Russo-American Mercantile). Buck tasks the team with locating Dr. Coldor at Copernicus Station on Luna (the Moon). The station is rife with corrupt officials and linked to a major weapons producer. RAM slavers are also active in the region, offering the player another chance to prove their abilities. The team soon finds their ship has been sabotaged, filling it with deadly radiation, and must evacuate via escape pods. While the launch eliminates most of their adversaries, Sid Refuge manages to board one of the pods, clinging to the rear fin, and is later captured by PURGE (Prevention of Unwanted Research and Genetic Engineering) forces.
