Chocobo's Crystal Tower

Summary

Chocobo's Crystal Tower was a flash-based game created by Square Enix and available as a Facebook application. In the game, players could care for a chocobo, fight enemies to collect gil, and use the gil to personalize their chocobo with special accessories. The game also allowed players to tend to each other's chocobos, and chocobos from different accounts could breed together.

Storyline

An evil sorcerer named Evilzard had unleashed the Meteor of the Apocalypse, but a courageous hero smashed the Meteor and saved the world. The shattered pieces rained down, giving rise to a complex web of towers and dungeons. Horrifying creatures emerged from these structures, instilling terror across the land. Many brave adventurers attempted to eliminate the monsters and destroy the towers, but a dark curse left behind by Evilzard before his demise thwarted their efforts. One day, a chocobo stumbled out of one of the towers, badly injured. It had braved the inside and defeated the creatures lurking within, as the tower had fallen eerily quiet. This chocobo, named Boco, was celebrated as a national hero in Enisque. Following this, the kingdom of Enisque launched a chocobo breeding initiative, dispatching chocobos into the towers one by one. The program proved successful, and soon, aspiring royal chocobo breeders flocked in to raise and train these birds, continuing the mission to dismantle the towers.
