

Dance Dance Revolution 4thMix, also known as 4thMix, is the fourth installment in the main Dance Dance Revolution series of rhythm video games. It was launched as an arcade title by Konami on August 24, 2000. Though officially available only in Japan, the game can be found in arcades around the world. 4thMix includes 136 tracks, 49 of which are brand new to this edition. Twelve of the songs are initially hidden and can be unlocked by arcade staff. An additional 12 songs become available in 4th Mix Plus, bringing the total to 150 tracks. In DDR 4th Mix, some songs that first appeared in DDR 3rd Mix Plus, DDR 3rd Mix Korea, and DDR Solo make their debut here. The home console version of 4thMix was released in Japan on March 15, 2001, for the Sony PlayStation. It includes 55 songs, with three from Dance Dance Revolution 3rdMix that were not featured in its home version, plus six hidden tracks: one from 4thMix Plus and one serving as a preview for the upcoming arcade release, Dance Dance Revolution 5thMix. The game also introduces the 6-panel mode, known as Solo Mode.
