Summary
Digimon World 3 is a role-playing video game developed by Bandai for the PlayStation. You take on the role of a child named Junior who joins an online virtual reality MMORPG called "Digimon Online," operated by the "MAGAMI" corporation. When a cyber-terrorist attack strikes the Internet, Junior and his friends become trapped inside the game, and he embarks on a mission to stop the attackers with the help of his Digimon allies. Unlike previous entries in the Digimon World series, encounters with wild Digimon are random, and while the battle system remains turn-based, it has been significantly reworked from Digimon World 2. The most noticeable change is that battles are now one-on-one rather than three-on-three, though you can substitute with a different Digimon during combat. Additionally, the game introduces three forms of digivolution: standard, Blast, and DNA digivolution.
