Summary

An expanded 3DS port of *Digimon World Re:Digitize*.

Storyline

In the future, all communication systems fall apart except for the GIGO network, which then takes control of every part of human life. One of GIGO's services is an MMORPG called Digital Monsters. No one knows that the game is actually linked to the Digital World, where players are truly raising Digimon. However, only a select few Tamers can hear their voices and interact with them beyond the game. Taiga and his friends are transported to the Digital World after receiving a mysterious email from the enigmatic Mirei, which must be replied to with the phrase "Re:Digitize." There, Taiga and his companions must assist Jijimon in rebuilding the Primary Village, which has been losing inhabitants due to a crisis on File Island. As they work to restore the village, investigate the island's mystery, and uncover the reason for their arrival in the Digital World, they encounter wild and dangerous Digimon infected by the strange Blackening Phenomenon. To heal the Digimon and save the Digital World, the group must uncover the truth behind the Vitium GIGO Project and confront the monstrous entity known as Vitium.
