Summary
Disciples II is a fantasy strategy game set in the fictional realm of Nevandaar, also known as "The Sacred Lands." The story centers on four major races locked in near-constant conflict. These factions include the human Empire, the dwarven Mountain Clans, the demonic Legions of the Damned, and the skeletal Undead Hordes. In addition, there are several "neutral" races such as Merfolk, Greenskins, and Elves (with the Elves becoming a fully playable faction through the expansion pack "Rise of the Elves"). The gameplay consists of three primary elements: developing your race's Capital City to unlock new Warriors and spells, and forming new armies through strategic resource management; sending heroes to lead small squads in exploration, resource gathering, and enemy attacks; and engaging in the battles themselves.
