Literary icon and animated film favorite Winnie the Pooh takes center stage in this educational game from Disney, as he descends to the ground by balloon and lands outside a Treehouse that serves as the main menu. Gopher delivers a mailbox personalized with the player's name, while Pooh places a honey pot that functions as the options menu. When returning to the Treehouse from other areas of the Hundred Acre Wood, the customized mailbox might hold messages from in-game characters, who will read the letters aloud when the mailbox is selected.
The adventure starts in the Hundred-Acre Wood, where the player chooses from one of three routes leading to the North Woods, the East Woods, or the West Woods, each offering various reading activities introduced by one of Pooh's friends. Players interact by pointing and clicking the mouse; the cursor appears as a bee that flaps its wings when hovering over interactive elements and displays an arrow when over a path to a new location.
