This game is an HD compilation that includes both *Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 1* and *Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3*, both enhanced and remastered in high definition, with full Trophy and Achievement support. The visuals of *Budokai 3 HD* closely resemble those of *Dragon Ball Z: W Bakuretsu Impact*. Due to allegations of plagiarism against Kenji Yamamoto's original scores, both games feature completely new soundtracks compiled from music used in *Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2*, *Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3*, *Dragon Ball: Raging Blast*, *Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team*, and *Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi*, along with brand-new compositions and the American *Dragon Ball Z* theme from the original game and series. Both titles also offer an optional original Japanese audio track (though in Europe, only Japanese is available for *Budokai 1*, just as it was in the original release).
