Summary
F.E.A.R. 3 continues the story of F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin and serves as the third entry in the series. A new feature in this installment is the option to experience the campaign in either single-player or co-op mode. Co-op can be played both online and offline using split-screen functionality. In single-player, players start by controlling Point Man, but after completing each level, they unlock the ability to replay it as Paxton Fettel. The level design, cutscenes, and dialogue remain the same regardless of which character is being played.
Storyline
The game is set nine months after the events of *F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin*, as Alma Wade's pregnancy approaches its final stages. When the resurrected Paxton Fettel rescues Point Man from imprisonment by the Armacham Technology Corporation in a Brazilian jail, the two wary brothers return to Fairport. Point Man aims to locate the still-missing Jin Sun-Kwon and stop Alma from giving birth, while Fettel has his own, entirely separate agenda. At the same time, a new and terrifying danger arises—one that even Alma is afraid of.
