F1 Circus '92, also referred to as F1 Circus '92: The Speed of Sound, is a Formula One racing title for the PC Engine and the final entry in the F1 Circus series for the system. Developed by Nichibutsu, it is the fourth and last game in the series to appear on the PC Engine and the seventh title in the overall series. As with previous games, it is officially licensed by Formula One's Japanese distributors and features real team and driver names with proper authorization. The game continues the series' top-down racing style, emphasizing high-speed action and requiring strong memorization and precise driving skills. Players risk early retirement if their car takes too much damage from crashes into walls or other competitors. Customization options are a key feature, and the Special mode allows players to engage in conversations with NPCs between races, adding an extra layer of depth to the experience.
