Summary
The second Wii installment in the Final Fantasy series showcases randomly generated dungeons and strategic turn-based combat. A familiar yellow, bird-like Chocobo makes the leap from its DS success to the console in this exclusive title, enhanced by the signature art style of Toshiyuki Itahana, known for his work on Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles and Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales. Your mission? Retrieve lost "memories" by exploring dungeons crafted by a mysterious young boy named Raffaello. Succeed, and the town’s residents may finally regain their sense of identity.
Following classic Final Fantasy conventions, your Chocobo can switch between ten unique job classes, from knight to white mage, each granting special skills and abilities in battle. Between dungeon runs, you can stop by town shops to stock up on useful gear and items. Additional features include online card duels through Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, secret dungeons and job classes revealed by collecting scattered letters, and a variety of arcade-style mini-games found in the Mog House. These include motion-controlled activities like gardening, fishing, and playing darts.
