Summary
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue serves as an introduction and preview of Gran Turismo 5, taking the place of Gran Turismo HD Concept. The term "Prologue" is a nod to Gran Turismo 4 Prologue, which came out a year before the full launch of Gran Turismo 4. As of October 3, 2008, the title was updated to Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Spec III, marking the 3.0 version of the software. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Spec III includes support for 16-player online racing, more than 70 vehicles (including modified models), six circuits with twelve track configurations, a 60 frames per second performance during races (with replays shown at 30 frames per second), and LPCM 7.1ch high-definition audio.
