Katamari Forever features 34 levels, with only three being entirely new and the rest borrowed from earlier games in the series. Half of the stages are set inside the mind of the King of All Cosmos, who has been struck on the head and lost his memory. These levels are presented in black and white, and the goal is to roll up various items to restore color to the environment. The remaining stages are set in the present day, where RoboKing, a robotic replica of the King of All Cosmos built by his cousins, goes on a destructive spree and wipes out all the stars in the sky.
