Ken ga Kimi is Rejet's inaugural story inspired by Japanese themes. A demo was released on November 1, 2013, and the full game officially launched on December 19, 2013. The narrative is set during the early years of the Edo period.
During the early years of the Edo period, Kayo resides with her father in a teahouse and eatery. One day, the Princess of Sunpu Castellan approaches her with an unusual request. Since they are exact doubles, Kayo is asked to impersonate the princess during a grand wedding procession… Confused but determined, Kayo sets out from the Tokaido region, accompanied by six samurai as her protectors, on a journey to Edo, Hakone, Mishima, and finally to Sunpu. Along the way to Edo, she becomes entangled in encounters with powerful youkai, as well as the "Sword Retrieving Imperial Match," a contest involving the fabled Five Great Swords—unveiling a sinister ritual hidden beneath its surface… As their paths intertwine and diverge, the road ultimately splits into two choices: one, to wield the sword and walk the path of war; two, to embrace peace and walk the path with you. What fate will they ultimately choose?
