Kikstart 2 is a motorcycle trials racing video game that was launched on the Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, and ZX Spectrum. It achieved greater popularity than its original counterpart, Kikstart. The game supported two-player simultaneous action through a split-screen mode or single-player against the computer. Its gameplay mechanics were later replicated in other titles, such as the Game Boy game "Motocross Maniacs." The core gameplay involves maneuvering a motorcycle using acceleration, braking, "hopping," and "wheelies" to overcome a variety of obstacles, including ramps, gates, telephone boxes, and tires. The game was inspired by the BBC Television series Kick Start. A more advanced version was also made available for the Commodore 128, one of the rare native game titles for that system.
