Summary
Superbike World Championship is the first project from Milestone following the Screamer series, developed in collaboration with Electronic Arts. The game accurately replicates the real-world physics of all five championship motorcycles—Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha—faithfully capturing the rider's movements both on foot and on the bike, as well as the authentic circuits of the Superbike World Championship, complete with detailed environments and varying weather conditions. Six gameplay options and eight realism settings—covering aspects like braking, traction control, assisted riding, and championship regulations—combine to offer a simulation that is both realistic and enjoyable, drawing players into the thrilling world of Superbike racing. The game features two distinct modes: Arcade and Simulation. Each mode has its own unique traits, allowing the experience to be tailored to the player's preferences. In Arcade mode, players can choose their bike, customize the rider's name, and decide between a single race or an entire championship. The objective is to win individual GPs or finish first in the overall standings. In Simulation mode, players must optimize their bike's performance by adjusting all available settings to achieve the best possible results. Superbike World Championship includes 12 international tracks such as Monza, Laguna Seca, and Brands Hatch. A range of bikes from the 1997 season is available in both Arcade and Simulation modes, including models from Ducati, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki, piloted by renowned riders like Kocinski, Carl Fogarty, Scott Russell, Aaron Slight, and Pierfrancesco Chili.
