Summary

The gameplay in Lumines II closely mirrors that of its original counterpart, Lumines. The goal remains the same: move blocks made up of four colored squares across the board to form a single square of matching color. You must do this before a "timeline" sweeps across the screen, erasing the blocks you've placed. Clearing four or more squares at once adds a bonus multiplier to your score. (For further information, see the Gameplay section of Lumines). Lumines II does not include Infrastructure mode. Visually, the game is very similar to Lumines Live! and the PC version of Lumines, both in gameplay and in the menu design.
