Summary
The Game Boy edition of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie is a one-player side-scrolling action title that mirrors the SNES version. Players have the option to take control of any of the six rangers, who begin each level as a Ninja Ranger. The Red, Blue, and White Rangers are the more powerful characters, whereas the Black, Pink, and Yellow Rangers are faster and more nimble. By defeating enemies, primarily Putty Patrols, and collecting enough Thunderbolt items to fill the power meter, players can transform their character into a Power Ranger. Filling the power meter again while in Power Ranger form enables the player to unleash a powerful special attack. The game features six levels, with the first five able to be played in any sequence, and the sixth level only accessible after completing the first five.
