Summary
This game is essentially an updated version of MLB 99, featuring a few fresh additions. It includes accurate portrayals of real teams, stadiums, player statistics, and athletes as they exist in real life. Returning from the last game are modes like quick play, season, playoffs, spring training, and home run derby. A brand-new feature is the general manager mode, where players can draft, build, trade, promote, waive, release, and sign players. Another new addition is the manager mode, which allows players to review scouting reports during the game, warm up relief pitchers in the bullpen, and lead their team to the World Series with the goal of winning it all.
