
MLB '98 is a Major League Baseball video game developed by 989 Sports for the PlayStation. It was released on June 30, 1997, and carries a K-A rating for all ages. The game's play-by-play commentary is provided by public address announcer Mike Carlucci. New York Yankees center fielder Bernie Williams appears on the cover. Features include all 30 Major League Baseball teams, six different game modes, full statistic tracking, and the ability to create custom players. It was followed by MLB '99, which introduced Vin Scully as the play-by-play announcer. Beginning with MLB 2000, infielder Dave Campbell joined Scully for color commentary.
