Summary
NBA Shootout 2004 allows you to play through an entire season or take part in exhibition games featuring officially licensed NBA teams and players. The game features fully detailed 3D player models with realistic facial likenesses of top NBA stars. Experience in-game commentary from Ian Eagle and Bill Walton, who provide real-time play-by-play as you control the action. Although it doesn't include a franchise mode like more conventional sports titles, the game offers a career mode where you create a custom player and work your way up through the summer leagues and the NBDL. You'll face various challenges that must be completed to earn a spot in the NBA and sign a contract with a professional team. Once in the NBA, you'll have to push even harder to win championships and individual awards, with the ultimate goal of being enshrined in the NBA Hall of Fame. You can also unlock the 50 greatest players in NBA history by completing specific challenges in exhibition games, such as reaching a set point total or achieving a certain number of assists with a specific player. Use a USB microphone to issue commands to your teammates for better control. Direct them on both offense and defense with verbal instructions to help you make the most of your team's potential.
