NHL 2K8 is an ice hockey video game developed by 2K Sports and released for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and Xbox 360 platforms. The cover of the game features Ottawa Senators center Jason Spezza. Returning for commentary are Bob Cole and Harry Neale, who previously provided their voices in NHL 2K6 and NHL 2K7. Among the new additions to the game is a completely redesigned faceoff system, a new ProStick system that uses the right analog stick for deking, taking faceoffs, and puck handling, and a new feature called Superstar Combo moves, which replicates real-life dekes and fakes from actual NHL players with the press of a button. The game also introduces a brand-new goaltending system, complete with updated visuals and movement mechanics. NHL 2K8 also brought in the new Reebok Edge jerseys, which could be unlocked using a code available on the 2K Sports website.
