Summary
Select 1 on the alphanumeric keyboard. A massive Pachinko game materializes on your television. You and your rival are positioned at the bottom of the screen. A digital score display will show up at the bottom of the screen when the game starts. The left controller controls the left player. The right controller controls the right player. Move the joystick left to go left and right to go right. You can challenge a friend or the computer. To let the computer know you're active, press the action button or move your controller’s joystick in any direction. If the computer detects no input from either controller, it will play on its own. Each player on the screen is equipped with a power booster. Press the action button to raise your booster and strike a ball. When you hit a ball with your booster, it turns your color and zooms back into the game. If your booster is fully raised when it makes contact, the ball continues in the same horizontal direction. If it's not fully raised, the ball’s direction is reversed. Players move at half speed while the action button is held down. If a ball strikes a player, it begins to lose energy. If your opponent's ball hits the rotor on your side of the screen, it changes to your color. If your ball hits your opponent’s rotor, it turns to their color. The Magic Mountain is located in the center at the bottom of the playing area. When you bounce a ball off the Magic Mountain, the numbers inside the cups will change. You score more effectively on the cups on your side, so it's a smart tactic to increase the numbers on your side and decrease them on your opponent’s. WARNING! WATCH OUT FOR THE TROUBLESHOOTER! This erratic, uncontrollable nuisance constantly darts back and forth across the middle of the screen. The Troubleshooter is a real problem because he tries to remove your ball from play and send it to your opponent. The game concludes at 100 points or any agreed-upon multiple of 100. You can also play under a time limit. To start a new game, press the RESET key on the alphanumeric keyboard and then select 1.
