Puyo Puyo!! 20th Anniversary

Summary

This is the second anniversary title in the series and, as a result, has more in common with *Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary* than *Puyo Puyo 7*. It was released four months prior to *Sonic Generations*, another title celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Sonic franchise. The game features 24 playable characters, each with their own unique 8-stage course—much like in *Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary*. Like its predecessor, this game was released exclusively in Japan.

Storyline

It was a typical day for our main character, Ringo Andou, when her friend Maguro Sasaki dropped by the clubroom that Ringo and Risukuma shared. Risukuma was in the middle of an experiment involving a boiling flask, but things took an unexpected turn—literally—when something went awry, sending all three of them hurtling into another dimension...
