Puyo Puyo 7

Summary

This is the seventh installment in the main Puyo Puyo series, indicated by the number 7. Departing from the previous Fever series, the game takes place in a world resembling the real one rather than Primp Town. A new default game mode called Transformation was introduced. Five fresh characters make their debut, while some familiar faces from earlier games in the series return, either as playable characters or in cameo appearances.

Storyline

The main narrative centers on Ringo's quest to prevent Puyo from overwhelming her world. Unlike the course-based structure of earlier games, the story is now split into six linear acts, with each act spanning multiple locations and further broken down into individual episodes. While some characters appear to join the team in a style reminiscent of Puyo Puyo~n, players are restricted to using Ringo during their first playthrough. Finishing the game unlocks the ability to control other party members when replaying episodes, revealing different story possibilities.
