
This two-player puzzle game challenges players to eliminate puyos—colored pieces that fall onto their grid—by grouping four or more of the same color in straight lines or other valid formations. The competitive twist lies in the fact that clearing puyos sends random pieces to the opponent's board. The more puyos you clear at once, the more pieces your opponent receives, raising the stakes. Victory in a round is achieved by forcing the opponent's grid to overflow. The game also features a mild story mode for both single-player and multiplayer experiences.
While the first game featured a linear Scenario mode, *Tsu* focuses on a tower-based main gameplay where Arle Nadja chooses opponents via a roulette system. Each floor requires a certain amount of experience points to advance. Should Arle defeat all enemies on a floor before meeting the goal, a final bonus opponent will appear. If the needed experience total still isn't achieved after that fight, Arle is forced out of the tower and the game concludes.
