Summary

2011. Five years have gone by since the Second Disaster, an event that overshadowed the tragedy of April 1986. The Zone is now rocked by frequent and intense blowouts, shifting anomaly fields and revealing new paths to once-unreachable places. Stalker factions clash over the newly emerged territories and strategic points. Many experienced stalkers fall, yet fresh newcomers continue to arrive. The story unfolds a year before the events of *S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl*, a year before Strelok's most successful journey to the heart of the Zone—his third attempt. You'll come to know Strelok and his team through the eyes of another character. The Zone lies ahead, filled with new locations and hidden dangers, spatial rifts and creatures lurking in the mist, dark nights and the hopeful glow of a new dawn. Try to evade anomalies and stay clear of blowouts, explore the Zone, gather artifacts, treat radiation sickness, and fight for any stalker faction you choose! Only then will you uncover the truth behind Strelok and how he ended up inside the death truck, receiving the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. tattoo on his arm.
