Summary

Power Rangers: Mega Battle is a 2D side-scrolling beat 'em up arcade game. It was revealed at the 2016 New York Comic Con, with a teaser trailer for the game later posted online following the conclusion of the Power Rangers panel.

Storyline

The story kicks off with all five teens arriving at Angel Grove Park to begin their training until they come across a crystal. They also run into Bulk and Skull before the Putty Patrol appears one by one. As the growing number of Putties surround the teens, they're suddenly transported to the command center. Alpha 5 and Zordon introduce themselves to the group, and a reimagined version of the first episodes, including the teens' coronation as rangers, unfolds. The team is then sent back out to battle the Putty Patrol once more, now with the power to morph into their ranger forms. Along the way, they face off against sub-bosses like the Mighty Minotaur, the Knasty Knight, Madame Woe, and Twin Man. Later, the Tenga Warriors take over from the Putty Patrol when Lord Zedd replaces Rita for her failure to defeat the Power Rangers. As towers emerge across the city, the rangers and their Megazord work to destroy them and battle the massive monster forms of Sepenterra, King Sphinx, and Goldar. Tommy, now under mind control as the Evil Green Ranger, fights against the team before ultimately rejoining them. Lord Zedd is finally defeated, and the Power Rangers celebrate their hard-earned victory. King Sphinx, a monster from the fourth episode of *Mighty Morphin Power Rangers*, serves as a boss in the game.
