Summary
Sanma no Meitantei is a detective adventure murder mystery game created and released by Namco for the Famicom in 1987. Similar to Portopia Renzoku Satsujin Jiken, the player explores various locations connected to the victim to uncover clues that unlock new areas, leading to further discoveries until the murderer is finally revealed. The game is entirely in Japanese and was never officially translated into English. The story follows the events of a party hosted by president Yoshimoto at his villa, where Katsura Buntin is discovered dead in the vault, along with the theft of the "Star of Africa" diamond. As the assistant to detective Sanma Akashiya, your role is to aid in solving the case. The game includes a mini-game parodying Galaxian and features sound effects inspired by other Namco classics like Dig Dug and Xevious.
