Sansara Naga is a role-playing video game developed and published by Victor Music Entertainment, released exclusively in Japan for the Family Computer on March 23, 1990. A fan-translation was completed and made available on December 28, 2013, by the hacking and translation team Stardust Crusaders. Set in the mythic lands of India during the Vedic era, Sansara Naga blends elements of Indian mythology with aspects of Japanese folklore, including the tale of Brahman Umibouzu ("sea bonze"). Many in-game NPCs emphasize the sacred nature of cows, while others reference the Tower of Ṛta Satya. One notable item in the game is the Dharma Armor, which grants the player immunity to both dealing and receiving damage. The story follows a young protagonist, either a boy or a girl, who steals a valuable ostrich egg from the village of Orissa and seeks redemption by becoming a Dragoon to regain their honor. The journey involves saving lives, doing good deeds, and raising a newly hatched dragon. Players will encounter various bosses and face off against sneaky NPC street vendors who try to cheat them with faulty goods or attempt to rob them. While the main character does not level up and has fixed base stats of 40 STR and 40 DEF, the dragon they raise does gain levels. Unique features of the game include feeding corpses to your dragon to boost its level, magical armor, field map events, hidden landmarks, side quests, and mini-games. Sansara Naga's gameplay and mechanics bear similarities to those found in Dragon Quest I, Pokémon, and Earthbound. The Silver Mountains are also known as Heaven.
