Summary
Shadow of the Beast II is an action game created by Reflections and released by Psygnosis in 1990. It follows the original Shadow of the Beast as its direct sequel.
Storyline
Shadow of the Beast II continues the journey of the half-beast hero as he traverses the realm of Karamoon, determined to rescue his kidnapped sister. She was abducted from her mother’s cottage by Zelek, the Beast Mage who takes the form of a dragon and serves the dark force Maletoth. During his quest, Aarbron meets the wise dragon Barloom and must battle the malevolent dragon Ishran. The Tree Pygmies in the forest and the goblins lurking in the Crystal Caverns present challenging and interactive obstacles. For instance, a bottle of alcohol found at the Karamoon oasis must be given to the goblin jailer to secure Aarbron’s release. Only after Aarbron gives the old man his ring and a piece of parchment is he able to unlock a powerful spell capable of damaging Zelek.
