The pit droids face 300 unique puzzles, each randomly assigned across eight levels. You begin at the Transport Ship and progress to the final stage, the Arena. In every puzzle, the goal is to guide 48 droids into the portal; if you manage to move only a few, you advance with that number. Every completed puzzle earns you points. As you unlock each level, you're rewarded with a funny pit droid video clip. All levels take place on Tatooine. A wide variety of obstacles and restrictions appear throughout the game. Using different arrow types, you can even design your own puzzles. Puzzle variations include: Different tools—wrench, ladder, gas tank, cases, or none. Occasionally, obstacles will provide tools to your droids; Different colored heads, bodies, or matching head and body colors. Some obstacles paint the droid's head or body; Square or hexagonal grid layouts; Spacing between droids—when space is available, droids can cross paths; without it, they crash when they approach each other; Crashing or falling—when near the edge of a stage or an obstacle, droids either crash or fall. In some puzzles, they simply wait. To succeed, you must use logic, problem-solving, critical thinking, and visual reasoning. Additional game modes let you create your own puzzles or play through pre-designed scenarios.
In the high-octane world of Podracing, quick-thinking and focused pit droid technicians can tip the scales between triumph and failure—provided they don’t get themselves into trouble. The shrewd Toydarian scrap merchant Watto, always looking to keep his inventory full, is constantly searching for the next great bargain. Hovering over the arid planet of Tatooine is the biggest droid delivery Watto has ever made, a massive influx of pit droids that could overwhelm all of Mos Espa unless someone steps in to bring order to the chaos.
